2025 online conference

Spin Exchange:
Transition to a New Paradigm

An international online conference designed
to facilitate in-depth discussion of a new spin exchange paradigm

We invite you to take part in SPIN-2025, a conference focused on examining the theoretical and experimental foundation of the new spin exchange paradigm. Learn more

This new paradigm has been formally formulated in 2019 and has already yielded experimental confirmation of key predictions. The aim of this event is to engage our scientific community in recognising the need for paradigm shift, clarifying its implications, identifying points of contention, and advancing its understanding and application.

Rationale to Choosing a New Format

Despite the widespread use of online conferences and their undeniable advantage of saving time and effort, their drawbacks are widely known, especially when participants are scattered across different time zones.

Rather than replicate the standard conference format, we chose to reimagine it. Not for novelty’s sake, but to enable the kind of engaged discussion about the current state of spin exchange and its transition to a new paradigm.

To enable global participation while supporting discussions, the conference will follow a hybrid format:    Learn More

  • Pre-recorded presentations
Participants will receive early access to video presentations for thoughtful review and analysis.
  • Live discussion sessions (2–3 hours per day)
All live sessions are reserved exclusively for Q&A and collaborative discussion, not for formal presentations.
  • Flexible participation
The structure is designed to respect researchers’ time while encouraging active, reflective engagement.

Objectives of the Conference

  • Examine the theoretical and empirical basis of the new paradigm
  • Foster critical discussion across theoretical and experimental perspectives
  • Support meaningful participation from researchers worldwide

Registration

Participation is free. You may choose to:
• Attend as a listener
• Contribute to discussions by submitting questions
• Present a paper about new experimental/theoretical research

In your message, briefly indicate how you’d like to participate.
One of our team will follow up with a link to a short form to finalize the details. Kev M. Salikhov will be in touch with those interested in presenting their theoretical or experimental research.

We look forward to thoughtful, constructive engagement — and to the possibility of shaping how this online conference can bring clarity and contribute to development of spin exchange.

We welcome contributions from researchers in spin dynamics, EPR spectroscopy, and related disciplines.

🔍 What Hybrid Format Enables?

  • Better Pparticipation
This format allows time to reflect, rewind any part of recorded presentation, and get ready to ask sharper questions
  • Richer Conversations – More Insight
Having all participants meet primarily for joint discussions makes this time more interesting and effective. Focused engagement over passive presence
  • Greater Involvement
Researchers with other commitments can fully participate

What about the value of communication?

Yes, live presentations have an immediacy – but they also overwhelm ideas and leave no room for reflection, which is necessary to understand what is important.

By separating the presentation of information from the discussion, we create space for a better exchange of ideas to advance science:

  • Fewer distractions
  • More participants in the discussion
  • Research results and new ideas are recognized
